My name is Andrew Jennings, and I am a freelance photographer living in Nashville, TN. My travels have taken me all over the world, whether just for vacation, or on a paid assignment. I have no doubt that there are more memories yet to be created, and am honored that my camera can help spread those to others.

I got my roots growing up in the small town of Hastings-on-Hudson, NY. As the name implies, it sits right on the Hudson river, just a stone’s throw away from the big apple. Adjacent lie the palisades, an exposed rock face (known to geologists as a sill) that lines the river on its west side. Watching a sunset over that landscape is more than cause for owning a camera. Beauty like that, be it natural or man-made, inspires me, and makes me want to hold onto it forever.

As life continues, my passion for the people, and the experiences around me grows. I’ve always enjoyed watching (or occasionally participating in) motor racing, so my creative focus on all things automotive should come as no great surprise. On the other hand, there’s something magical about hearing music live, undisturbed by recordings or headphones. I didn’t fully appreciate this fact until I moved to the city that is famous for it. Where ever I go, there will be something else waiting to turn on that spark within me, and within all of us.

This blog serves as a home base, a refuge where my thoughts and photographs can breath a bit of fresh air. It is a place for me to talk in detail about my travels, about my photographs and why each of them is special to me. A place where I can go behind the scenes, exposing a few tricks of the trade and maybe make aspiring photographers a little better.

Above all else, it is a place where I can connect with the people who view my work, and see what they think of it. Often photographers work in vacuums, viewing our own images time after time until we are sick of them. I always look forward to hearing what others have to say, gaining a new perspective when there are no wrong opinions.
